The job
The brief
The owners wanted the wall behind their rattan cabinet to feel warmer at night without making the room feel smaller. We painted three test patches and left them up for two evenings.
What we did
Furniture moved and covered on day one, nail holes filled and the wall sanded smooth. The olive went on in two coats of low sheen, with the ceiling and trim done in the same visit.
The finish
Three days, one room out of use at a time, and a wall that reads deep green by lamplight and soft olive by day.
